Outside Her Box

She keeps the side window to her box unlocked.

Every now and then it's nice to crawl back inside...

For old time's sake.

She spends a minute or two in there looking around,

That's all she needs for it is quite small,

And there's not much to see.

She re-emerges...

Happy to be finally living outside her box.

  1. A fresh and interesting spin on that tired comment about staying outside the box. Nicely done.

  2. Hello stranger! As you know, I'm a big fan of my box... and lately I've eaten way too much chocolate so my box just keeps getting bigger, and bigger...

  3. Well done, Stephanola. I'm with Mr. Hayes about staying outside the box. But I never thought of you as stuck anywhere.

  4. I like this is such a nice take on living outside the box in order to enjoy living outside the box you have to remember what it is like inside the box

  5. I wasn't one to usually make my own box but for some reason I would easily crawl into boxes other people made for me. Thank goodness those days are gone and it is wonderful to be free from any box!

  6. I'm still climbing in and out of my box so I feel you girl. Not in a sexual way. :) I just understand what your saying.

  8. I have a cabinet, but the door stays locked. It's like Dumbledore said, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." Just replace "dreams" with "past." That's how it works for me; not that it works that way for everyone.
