This piece is for a dear, old friend who strives to be open.
Week after week he examined his surroundings
Trying to create peace with his environment.
How did he come to be in this place?
What led him to this point of isolation?
He was no longer able to proceed forward
For a mountain of words stood in his way.
Words can be lumpy things!

And sometimes the canyons are just as deep as the mountains are tall.
ReplyDeleteWell said, Joshua!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great Christmas. I'm so sorry I have not been around much. Life's been busy.
ReplyDeleteExcellent as always, Stephanola. Just wondering something -- it has nothing to do with your poem -- If someone gets mad at someone for telling a very small lie that does no harm, do you think that's fair? Cuz everybody lies in some way at some time, don'tcha think?

To LOLA--How many people do you think want the truth when they ask, "Does this dress make my butt look fat?"
ReplyDeleteThis creates a mountain of thoughts. Well written once again! Happy Holidays my blog sister and to Peanut (and Rudolph too!). :)
ReplyDeleteThe last line is mighty awesome! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and Happy New Year to you, Peanut, and all your family, and also to Rudolph!
ReplyDeleteTo Fishducky, it is not the dress that makes the butt look fat so telling them no is technically not a lie! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWords can open doors and close them. What an awesome picture this painted for me.
