The Pile

Six years ago she didn't have to deal with this.

The room appeared spotless,
Void of distractions,
Empty...
Her stuff was so well hidden even she couldn't find it!

Then life changed...

Now there was a pile of stuff in the middle of the room.
It wasn't as big of a pile as it was six years ago.
Most of the bigger items had been put in their proper place.
There was progress,
But she longed for the day when the stuff would magically disappear.
She knew that seldom happens...
The responsibility was hers.
She'd tackle it all eventually,
But, good golly, how did she accumulate so much stuff?!

  3. Hmmm... is this Peanut's stuff or yours? Because I know that in the ten years of living here my stuff has definitely accumulated, but it all still has a place... the boys stuff... not so much.

And yes, you win a prize for being the first to comment. Feel free to fly on up to claim it, we'll have Peanut and your room waiting for you when you arrive... I'll have the maid leave a Cadbury egg on your pillow for you.

    1. Oooh! Peanut and I will be there soon!
And to answer your question, It's my "stuff"...only the stuff is what I held inside emotionally for so many years and have been addressing over the past six years. I know, cheesy post. :)

    2. Nope. Not cheesy... we all have stuff inside and out. Except Tony, he has unresolved childhood issues and tons of sports CRAP, um, I mean collectibles.

  4. Human beings are junk magnets. We attract this stuff.

  5. I like to clean out the clutter a few times a year because it is amazing how much we end up accumulating without realizing it. Great post to start the year!
