I had a relaxing yet productive weekend. It was a weekend filled with surprisingly fewer naps than planned and I even woke up early Saturday and Sunday (I love when the time changes!). I didn't have Peanut and went from Thursday night to Sunday night without talking to her even once (she was on a camping trip with her dad). That part was tough, and I was so happy to hear that sweet little voice last night.
But at least it gave me time to work on a very important mission:
Purging junk from my household.
Not the sugary kind of junk.
Are you crazy?!!!!
I need to purge. This house has sooo much junk in it :)

ReplyDeleteI'm purging too and yes I'm crazy.
ReplyDeleteI purged a bit yesterday, but organized a bunch of things that will be purged at electronics recycling this coming Saturday. Can't wait!!! Yeah for getting rid of crap.
ReplyDeleteWell done. It's something I need to tackle soon, too.
ReplyDeleteI try to purge.
ReplyDeleteTony keep telling me that it's not purging if all I ever get rid of are HIS things. :)
I purged once, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Decided it was too much work & went out to lunch. Found out that being served a sandwich that I didn't have to prepare or clean up after was so much more satisfying than purging!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have time to yourself once in awhile. I know you miss the little one but she was having fun I'm sure. Glad you got rested and cleaned out!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE purging clutter. I wish I could be there to help you. My house doesn't have any clutter to speak of.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
Lola - Come visit! PLEASE!!!!
ReplyDeleteFishducky - The 10:00am to 11:30am schedule is what got me where I am in the first place.
Barb - Peanut had a great time, and I did actually relish the time to myself...I just missed the nightly phone calls
Julianna- Of course you're purging stuff...purging is purging...doesn't matter who it belongs to as long as you feel better after dumping it! :)
And the sad truth is, I did all that cleaning and purging just in time for my handyman to dust the place up working on my countertops in the kitchen. Ooh! Speaking of, the kitchen is almost done, can't wait to share photos!
Gotta run, trying to get The Nut to finish her reading minutes for the night.
Tootles!
Dear Stephanie, decluttering is good in every way. It gives us more space and there's beauty in space that allows us to truly see what's left. It also may give to other people something that seems useless to us but a treasure to them. (I donate to Good Will and other groups that call and pick up from the curbside.)
ReplyDeleteFor myself, I'm working on decluttering my mind. I tend to over-analyze and to make things complex and convoluting. I'm hoping that I can simplify. Simplify. Simplify.
Good luck with your "purging."
Peace.
Ug thanks for reminding me I'm supposed to be "purging" my household. grrrr some friend you are.. lol
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'm the opposite and since everything I own fits in one room, I dream about the day I can have stuff again!
