She walked a thin line
Her soul gripped the wire for security
Yet her arms floated freely, open with grace.
There was no net to catch her
Not even an "Oooh!" or an "Ahhhh!" to cheer her on.
No need for The Big Top.
This was just for her.
She reached the platform
And turned around to do it again
Dear Stephanie, once again you draw your readers in to possibilities. How brave this young woman. How daring. To let go and take a step into the unknown with only a single thread to guide her.
ReplyDeletePeace.
If even she happens to fall, we all know that she is more than capable to dust herself off and get back on that rope again! You are truly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful description of how I've learned to live my life.
ReplyDeleteDee- so nice to get your comments once again! Missed you!
ReplyDeletePadded- thank you
Fishducky- I hope to live my life this way for a long time
Steph--I couldn't pull up Peanut's post this morning--blogger says it doesn't exist.
ReplyDeleteShe hit post before she finished it...so I put it in drafts until next week. We ran out of time last night.
ReplyDeleteSo impacting. I LOVE this part: "This was just for her."
ReplyDeleteLovely, my Stephanola.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
