I can't find the next verse,
I guess it could be worse.
I can't find my style,
Really, it's been a while.
I can't find the key,
Though it lies deep inside me.
I can't find my vision,
Decisions, decisions, decisions!
I can't find my prose,
It's gone I suppose.
But I have found me
What you get is what you see
All I see is crap, make me want to take a nap..hahaha...j/k fun verse.
ReplyDeleteI love those closing lines. This is fun :0)
ReplyDeleteIf prose is the doorway to the soul, poetry is the window. Sometimes the door is locked and you have to climb through the window.
ReplyDeleteOk where you wrote I can't find my prose I thought you wrote purse at first. I had to go back on that one. I'm still giggling.
ReplyDeleteI seriously have lost my creativity. Someone please create some angst in my life so I have something to write about!...just kidding...coasting for a while sounds good, and I really am happy that I have no angst to speak/write of.
ReplyDeleteJoshua - windows are locked as well, seriously thinking about the doggy door.
It's not a bad thing to have nothing to write about. We assume it is as writers but we're too hard on ourselves. I've learned to say "screw it". Hugs.
ReplyDeleteDear Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteI liked the exchange between you and Joshua. And yes, there is always the doggy door or the crack in the window!
You know, Stephanie, that as "Bouncin' Barb" said, it's not so bad to have nothing to write about on any given day.
But if you need or want a starter, you might think of just opening a book of poetry and putting your finger on a title or a line and then giving posting the title or line and sharing your thoughts on it--what came to your mind. What trip your mind took when encountering those words.
Peace.
I loved your poem :). Wish I could write that well when I have nothing to say!

ReplyDeleteEven when you have "nothing" to post:
ReplyDeleteThrough cybermud I'd slog
To get to your blog.
I'm going to start an "I LOVE FISHDUCKY" fan club! :)
ReplyDeleteLola, I'm pretty sure Pat was joking...and you're welcome. I'm glad I could help.
Dee, excellent ideas for finding inspiration for writing. Thank you!
Pat, If you were joking, then I apologize. I feel a wee bit on edge today.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
Love you. too, Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteThat's not a crappy poem at all. It's fun. It's doing stuff like this that unblock those blocks!
ReplyDeletehahaha she called it "crappy" so I used crap, that was the extent of it, so it was a joking fit.
ReplyDeleteI apologize again for the false accusation. I don't want anybody picking on my Stephanola.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lola
P.S. Stephanie, If you need ideas for posts, you can probably find writing prompts online.
Stephanie, at least you gave it a shot and it was still entertaining!! I have had to dig into the internet for "inspiration" today. Inspiration is everywhere but it's hard to find the right kind that speaks to your inner writer...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't fret too much young one. All of us get mentally constipated from time to time. Try to relax. You'll find your groove again before you know it.
ReplyDeleteI love it! So can relate as well...
